Delaware is a white wine grape that was first propagated in Delaware, Ohio, United States in 1849.It is mostly grown in the east coast US, as well as in Japan. Dalaware ripens early, which does well in these climates that have short growing season

The delaware grape has a slight foxiness when compared to other grapes in its class, and is used by many wineries in New England where growing conditions are rough.
